This presents a body of work shaped over a decade behind the lens and a lifelong affinity with animals. Originally from Belgium and now based on the Sunshine Coast, Jennifer Chassagnol brings a refined sensibility to subjects often overlooked, elevating pets, equine, and hinterland wildlife into quietly powerful studies of form, presence, and spirit.

What began as portraiture for devoted pet owners has evolved into The Animalia Project, a broader exploration of the innate beauty and quiet dignity of animals beyond ownership. Birds, endangered species and farm creatures, are rendered with the same care and reverence as any classical subject, revealing a gentle empathy between the natural world and ourselves, one that is so often overlooked in the pace of modern life.

Each image is produced locally in Queensland, printed and framed by hand in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast using museum-grade archival materials. The result is work that is both intimate and enduring photographs that transcend documentation to become heirloom pieces.
